It is navigable for See also:barges to Navan, 19 m. from its mouth. Much of the scenery on its See also:banks is beautiful, though never See also:grand. About 2 m. See also:west of Drogheda, an See also:obelisk, 150 ft. in height, marks the spot where the forces of See also:William III. gained a celebrated victory over those of See also:James II., on the 1st of See also:July' 169o, known as the See also:battle of the Boyne. BOYS' See also:BRIGADE, an organization founded in See also:Glasgow by Mr (afterwards See also:Sir) W. A. See also:Smith in 1883 to develop See also:Christian manliness by the use of a semi-military discipline and See also:order, gymnastics, summer camps and religious services and classes.
