KENMORE , a See also:

village and See also:parish of See also:Perthshire, See also:Scotland, 6 m. W. of Aberfeldy. Pop. of parish (19o1), 1271. It is situated at the See also:foot of See also:Loch See also:Tay, near the point where the See also:river Tay leaves the See also:lake. Taymouth See also:Castle, the seat of the See also:Marquess of See also:Breadalbane, stands near the See also:base of See also:Drummond See also:Hill in a princely See also:park through which flows the Tay. Glenlyon House was the See also:home of Campbell of Glenlyon, See also:chief See also:agent in the See also:massacre of See also:Glencoe. At See also:Garth, 21 M. N.E., are the ruins of an See also:ancient castle, said to have been a stronghold of See also:Alexander See also:Stewart, the See also:Wolf of See also:Badenoch (1343-1405), in See also:close proximity to the See also:modern mansion built for Sir Donald See also:Currie.
