One of his first churches was St See also:Michael and All Angels, Brighton (1855), and among his See also:principal erections may be mentioned All See also:Saints, See also:Cambridge; See also:Eton See also:Mission See also:church, See also:Hackney See also:Wick; Clumber church; Eccleston church; See also:Hoar See also:Cross church; St See also:Augustine's, Pendlebury; See also:Holy Trinity, See also:Kensington; See also:Chapel Allerton, See also:Leeds; St Faith's, See also:Brentford; See also:Queen's See also:College chapel, Cambridge; See also:Marlborough College chapel; and See also:Burton church. His domestic See also:work included the See also:London School See also:Board offices, the new buildings at Magdalen, See also:Oxford, and Hewell See also:Grange (for See also:Lord See also:Windsor). From 1872 he had for twenty years the See also:partnership of Mr T. Garner, who worked with him. He also designed (with his See also:pupil See also:James See also:Vaughan) the See also:cathedral at See also:Washington, D.C., U.S.A., and cathedrals at See also:San Francisco and in See also:Tasmania; and when Mr Gilbert Scott's See also:design for his new See also:Liverpool cathedral was successful in the competition he collaborated with the See also:young architect in preparing for its erection. Bodley began contributing to the Royal See also:Academy in 1854, and in 1881 was elected A.R.A., becoming R.A. in 1902. In addition to being a most learned See also:master of See also:architecture, he was a beautiful draughtsman, and a connoisseur in See also:art; he published a See also:volume of poems in 1899; and he was a designer of See also:wall-papers and chintzes for See also:Watts & Co., of See also:Baker See also:Street, London; in See also:early See also:life he had been in See also:close See also:alliance with the Pre-Raphaelites, and he did a See also:great See also:deal, like See also:William See also:Morris, to improve public See also:taste in domestic decoration and See also:furniture.

He died on the 21St of See also:

October 1907, at See also:Water See also:Eaton, Oxford.
