In 1843 her husband entered the See also:Roman See also:Catholic See also:church, and in the following See also:year Lady GeorgianaFullerton published her first novel, Ellen See also:Middleton, which attracted W. E. See also:Gladstone's See also:attention in the English See also:Review. In 1846 she entered the Roman Catholic church. The See also:death of her only son in 1854 plunged her in grief, and she continued to See also:wear See also:mourning until the end of her See also:life. In 1856 she became one of the third See also:order of St See also:Francis, and thenceforward devoted herself to charitable See also:work. In See also:conjunction with See also:Miss See also:Taylor she founded the religious community known as " The Poor Servants of the See also:Mother of See also:God Incarnate," and she also took an active See also:part in bringing to See also:England the sisters of St See also:Vincent of See also:Paul. Her philanthropic work is described in Mrs See also:Augustus See also:Craven's work Lady Georgiana Fullerton, sa See also:vie et ses oeuvres (Paris, 1888), which was translated into English by See also:Henry See also:James See also:Coleridge. She died at See also:Bournemouth on the 19th of See also:January 1885.
