For these services he was made See also:marquess of See also:Dorset, but after the deposition of Richard in 1399, he was degraded to his former See also:rank as earl. In 1401, however, he was declared loyal, and appeared later in command of the See also:English See also:fleet. He married See also:Margaret, daughter of See also:Thomas See also:Holland, second earl of See also:Kent, and died in See also:March 1410, leaving three sons, See also:Henry, John, and See also:Edmund, and two daughters, Jane or See also:Joan, who married See also:James I., king of See also:Scotland, and Margaret, who married Thomas See also:Courtenay, earl of See also:Devon.
