On the See also:death of See also:John See also:Radcliffe in 1714 Mead became the recognized See also:head of his profession; he attended See also:Queen See also:Anne on her deathbed, and in 1727 was appointed physician to See also:George II., having previously served him in that capacity when he was See also:prince of See also:Wales. He died in London on the 16th of See also:February 1754.
