He appeared successfully in several plays adapted from well-known stories, and his rendering (1887) of the doubled See also:title-parts in R. L. It was with this See also:play that he made his London reputation during a See also:season (1888) at the See also:Lyceum theatre, by invitation of See also:Henry See also:Irving. He produced Richard III. the next. See also:year, at the Globe. Among his other See also:chief successes were See also:Prince Karl, Cyrano de See also:Bergerac and See also:Monsieur See also:Beaucaire. He was one of the earliest to produce G.
