In 1795 he began to exhibit in the Royal See also:Academy, of which in 1814 he was elected an See also:associate engraver. He also held the See also:appointment of mezzotint-engraver to the See also:prince See also:regent and the See also:duke of See also:York. He executed six plates after See also:Reynolds, engraved many of the See also:works of his brother-in-See also:law, See also:George See also:Morland, and his mezzotints after See also:Andrew See also:Geddes, which include the full-lengths of See also:Sir See also:David See also:Wilkie and of See also:Patrick Brydone, are of great merit. His engravings are full of See also:artistic spirit, and show See also:fine feeling for See also:colour; and they are excellently See also:tender and expressive in their rendering of flesh. He died in London on the 1st of See also:December 1826.
