Murray Keith (1730-1795), was on See also:Lord See also:George See also:Sackville's See also:staff at the See also:battle of See also:Minden. He became See also:colonel of a See also:regiment (the 87th See also:foot) known as Keith's Highlanders, who won distinction in the See also:continental See also:wars, but were disbanded in 1763; he was then employed in the diplomatic service, in which he achieved considerable success by his honesty, courage, and knowledge of See also:languages. In 1781 he became See also:lieutenant-See also:general; in 1789. he was made a privy councillor.
